Rotten Lemon

This photoshoot was inspired by Kathleen Ryan’s art piece ”Rotten Lemon”, a giant pearl embellished lemon, glamorously decaying.
As people, we tend to embellish our personal history - even our trauma. With this photoshoot, I aimed to create a visual concept that contained the romanticisation of the past, alongside the sinister inevitability of decay. "Rotten Lemon" aims to emphasise the pastiche of nostalgia; it is an homage to kitsch, to clashing aesthetics and to much-ness.
